Linda Herring

In January 2020, at the young age of 71, Linda Herring began her second
career as a Dining Room Hostess at Chick-fil-A Kinston after 40 plus years
of service in the dental lab industry. Her providential arrival proved to be
a natural fit given her skills in customer service, public speaking, and
spiritual teachings. Linda quickly learned how to care for our dine-in guests,
going above and beyond their expectations by providing
Chick-fil-A’s Second Mile Service.

In March of 2020, Chick-fil-A was required to close their dining rooms
due to COVID-19. As a result, we no longer needed a dining room hostess.
Linda was concerned that she would lose her job so she pivoted and learned how to serve guests and the restaurant by assisting drive-thru, curbside, and catering. She reinvented herself, once again, to meet the needs of the company and the customers.

Linda’s positive attitude and uplifting spirit is an inspiration to others. When she is not at Chick-fil-A, she can be found spreading her unconditional love and caring spirit wherever she goes
