A mother woke up one day to the usual routine of getting her children ready for school and herself ready for the
workday. One child had a science project to take with all the components and posters that a project includes. The youngest to day care. Next, the oldest to drop off, needing permission slips signed for a field trip that were just handed to the mother as they walked out the door.
There was a fourth unintended stop, destination meltdown. An overwhelming feeling of facing a day with deadlines and demands, and she felt burnt out already. A river of tears flowed. With no other option, she parked in an empty lot beside a restaurant for an unscheduled private meltdown.
Suddenly out of the corner of tear-filled eyes she could see someone watching. To her surprise she looked to the right and through tears she saw a truck parked beside her. Someone was banging on the door, but she couldn’t see clearly. She wiped her tears and realized it was her husband.
This was nothing short of a miracle from God. This was not his route in the morning – she knew he never came through town. She unlocked the door and a with a look of dismay he asked, “What is wrong? Are you alright? Why are you so upset?” The mother replied, “I just wanted to have a meltdown all on my own, all by myself - what are you doing here?” He replied, “I had to pick up parts in town and saw you parked here.”
You know God always has the best timing in putting people right where they are supposed to be. Already anticipating what that distraught mother would need that day, God was at work lining up paths.
In Ezekiel, we learn about Jehovah Shammah, I am there. God will use whatever He can to reach you right where you are in any situation. By now, I’m sure you may have realized that I was the mother. There just might be a strong possibility I wasn’t hearing the voice of God that day. He needed to put something in action to show me He is always there.
In Ezekiel, chapter one, we learn of the omnipresent and omniscient aspects of God. I’m not suggesting that I was that far away from God, but I was leaning into a spirit of defeat. I wasn’t hearing God at that moment. Thankfully on that day, I was reminded of the goodness of God, and that He is always with me. He uses whatever He can to reach us. In the Old Testament, it was Ezekiel who sent to the people. That day it was my husband He sent to me.
Isaiah 41:10 NIV “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you with my righteous right hand.”
Joshua 1:9 NIV “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

Isaiah 41:10 NIV “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you with my righteous right hand.”Is one of my favorite scritpuers and my fathers. Thank you for sharing your testimony. It is a good reminder on how God is with us any time and in any season of our life. He will always guide and and give us strength and bring the right people to help us out. 😇 Blessings Kris Smith
