To Our Beloved Churches, Conferences, and Ministries:
Grace and peace to you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. As we enter the month of August — the designated promotion month for the Convention of Original Free Will Baptists — we invite you to stand with us in both prayerful support and practical partnership. This year presents a particularly important opportunity to strengthen the foundation of our shared ministry.
We are preparing for a major transition: the relocation of the OFWB Convention Office to a more suitable facility that will better serve our churches, ministries, and conferences for years to come. This move is made possible by our strong partnership with one of our OFWB Ministries, the University of Mount Olive.
To ensure the success of this effort and the continued vitality of our Convention work, we are asking every congregation to join us in four key ways: prayer, awareness, engagement, and support.
PRAY for the OFWB Convention We need your intercession more than ever.
Please commit to:
Praying for wisdom as we make decisions about leadership, logistics, and the future of the Convention.
Lifting up the Executive Committee, Convention staff, and our many ministry partners as we serve together in Christ’s name.
Asking God to bless this transition and guide us into a new season of fruitfulness and unity.
GAIN AWARENESS of the Convention’s Services and Needs
The Convention provides vital leadership and support to our churches and ministries.
We ask each church to:
Learn more about the services we offer by calling, visiting, or exploring our newly updated website.
Share this information with your congregation through bulletins, announcements, or brief moments in worship.
Recognize the significance of our upcoming office relocation and how it will expand our capacity to serve.
ENGAGE with the Convention
We are more than an office — we are a denominational catalyst for fellowship, connection, and service. The strength of every ministry begins with our connection to each other through the Convention and the daily workings of the Convention office.
Please help us by:
Sending updates from your church, conference, and ministry — including contact info, officer changes, and upcoming events — directly to the Convention office as soon as they occur.
Communicating regularly with us about your needs, celebrations, and prayer concerns.
Embracing OFWB values and participating in denominational events as active partners in our shared mission.
SUPPORT the Convention Financially
As we undertake this crucial move, we’ve set a goal of $20,000 to cover relocation and infrastructure expenses and to meet current and future ministry needs. Your congregation can help in the following ways:
1. Designate a Special Offering on any Sunday in August to benefit the OFWB Convention Office.
2. Encourage Individual Contributions from members who feel led to give personally.
3. Include the Convention in Your Church Budget — monthly, quarterly, or annually. If you already support us, consider increasing your level of giving if possible.
Every gift matters. Your generosity ensures the Convention can continue equipping, encouraging, and uniting the churches of our denomination for the glory of God. Thank you for walking with us in faith and faithfulness. May this season of transition lead us into greater unity, deeper mission, and renewed strength as the Body of Christ.
In His Service,
Rev. Dr. R. J. Warren President, Convention of Original Free Will Baptists
Rev. Michael Bryan Treasurer, Convention of Original Free Will Baptists
