Biker Prison Ministry

Updated: May 11, 2022

Dr. Timothy Webber and the Biker Prison Ministry have volunteered in detention for more than 30 years.

Their involvement and work with the youth

at the Cumberland Juvenile Detention Center has been curtailed due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Since March 2020, Dr. Webber (in maroon sweater in pre-pandemic photo receiving a volunteer appreciation award) was one of the first Cumberland volunteers to volunteer to participate in virtual religious services. Technology was a challenge, but through training Dr. Webber continues to provide virtual outreach to the youth in detention every other Friday. According to Facility Director Gene Hallock, “Dr. Webber is appreciated, the youth love him, and we want to send a special thank you to him and our other volunteers for their dedication and service to our youth.” Photo (left to right): Cumberland Juvenile Detention Center Facility Director Gene Hallock; Biker Prison Ministry Coordinator Dr Timothy Webber; Ola Earl Haddock, Biker Prison Ministry; Cumberland JDC Volunteer Program Supervisor Nicole Jones.
