January is Retirement Homes Month

Dear Friends,

Do you ever wonder if you make a difference or not? Well, let me tell you that you do.

During the Christmas season, I received a card from one of our clients. In this card was a handwritten letter of appreciation telling me how much her Christmas gifts were appreciated. I would like to share a small portion of the letter written by Ms. Janice.

“Dear Rev. Phillips, I would like to personally thank you for all the wonderful monthly checks I receive in the amount of $300.00. You don’t know how much it’s helped me every month this year. I know I am not supposed to count on getting it every month because it could always change. But you have touched my life every month that I have received the checks. Especially this year. My septic tank busted and I had a knee replacement. The Lord has blessed me in so many ways with your gift.  Also, I went to the mailbox last week and once again there was an answered prayer from you and the Retirement Homes. My tears overflowed with joy when I saw my Christmas gift from you and the Retirement Homes Ministry because I paid off my septic tank which was broken and I had nothing left in my checking. I thank you with all my love, Janice.”

Everyone, this is your faith in action. You have trusted us with your monetary gifts, and we do not take that lightly. We value every dollar we receive, and we will be good stewards of what you bless us with. As 2025 comes to a close, I am pleased to share that, once again, we have had a successful year. Our budget was met, and your giving has exceeded our budgeted costs. And beyond that, I would like to say a special thank you to Kings Cross Roads OFWB and First FWB of Greenville Ladies Auxiliaries for sending additional monetary Christmas gifts to our clients. Each of you makes a difference.

Now that we’re moving forward into 2026, I ask that you continue to pray for and contribute to this ministry. If you have never contributed, I ask that you prayerfully consider it. A gift of as little as $50.00 a year makes a huge difference in our clients' lives.

May God bless you and your church in 2026

Sincerely, Rev. Keith W. Phillips
