Look for the Rivers

Writer: Linda HerringLinda Herring

The Bible speaks to us but the Psalms speak for us.

Psalm 46:4–5 says, “ There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the Holy place of the tabernacle of the most high, God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved: God shall not be moved, God shall help her. She shall not be moved.” When your world is suddenly turned upside down, remember, that God’s plans for your life have not been canceled. When you feel trapped with no way out, here are some things to remember. Look for the rivers. Rivers represent God’s supply for your every need. Look for the city. It is the symbol of the presence of God. Look at God’s track record. Think about all He has already done. Live by the scriptures and be still and know that He is God.

Do not let the stresses of the day steal your Psalm.
