Psalms for the Soul

Writer's picture: FeatureFeature

By Linda Herring

The Bible speaks to us, but the Psalms speak for us. God desires an intimate relationship with each person, so He created us with a hearing for His presence. Though He alone can fill that void, people attempt to satisfy their longing with all kinds of relationships and activities. But filling that spot with anything other than Jesus is at best a short term solution. Friends, hobbies, and busy schedules bring pleasure while using up precious time that should be spent in quietness before the Lord. Psalm 42:1 says, “As the deer pants after the water brook, so pants my soul after you.” Do not let the stresses of the day steal your Psalm. Contact me at herring.theword@gmail.com.
