The Bible speaks to us, but the Psalms speak for us. David said, “Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.” (Ps. 32:1). No matter how hard we work, we can never pay off our sin debt. And thank God we do not have to because “God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” A story is told of an old pastor who was invited to come back and speak. He said your pastor asked me to talk about the greatest lesson I have learned in fifty years plus years of preaching. I thought about it, and it boiled down to one thing: Jesus loves me, this I know for the Bible tells me so. And it is something you should never forget either. Do not let the stresses of the day steal your Psalm.
