A celebration of God’s goodness through campus ministry at DEMNHS of Aboabo First Free Will Baptist Church

By: Kristine Mae D. Ustares, Field Worker

From September 11–13, 2025, the Campus Ministry of Doris E. Martinez National High School joyfully joined in the school’s Intramural celebration. Beyond the games, cheers, and competitions, the ministry became a shining witness of God’s goodness—bringing encouragement, joy, and spiritual refreshment to students and teachers alike.

We served free drinking water and light snacks to refresh participants and tournament managers. We also distributed ball pens and bookmarks printed with uplifting Bible verses to inspire hope and guidance. A Prayer Request Corner was set up, where anyone could freely write down personal intentions, which were then prayed for with sincerity and confidentiality.

This was more than just a booth or activity—it was a living testimony of God’s hand at work. With the support of our Pastor, Rev. Freedom G. Amenin; the approval of our principal, Bro. Ernesto G. Punla; the encouragement of Sis. Maureen C. Gumbisan; and the dedication of our youth leaders—Sis. Jane Margaret D. Sano, Sis. Christine D. Caabay, and Sis. Jenelyn Esparagoza—the Campus Ministry came alive. Students eagerly participated, enjoying the activities while being refreshed by the truth of God’s Word.

Our theme, “When life gave you lemons, He be makin’ lemonade,” reminded us that even in life’s challenges, God works all things for our good. His presence turned our simple efforts into something truly life-giving and joyful.

As Scripture reminds us: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God” (Philippians 4:6). The success of this Campus Ministry is a testimony that when we trust Him completely, He turns every effort into a blessing worth celebrating.

To God be the highest praise for the success of our Campus Ministry during Intramural 2025—because every victory belongs to Him!
