Confession

Writer's picture: Linda HerringLinda Herring

The Bible speaks to us but the Psalms speak for us.

Psalm 32:5 says, “ I said to myself, I will confess my sin to the Lord and He forgave me.” Thank you, Jesus. When we sin, we are rebelling against God’s rule in our lives and we will feel bad about it. Feeling bad about our sin is a good sign that we may be saved but it is so much more. Confession should lead us to repentance and then moving on to turn away from sin. Confession is often painful, but it keeps our fellowship with our heavenly Father clear, open, and close. God loves us and He will never, ever leave us. Confess, repent, be forgiven, and draw close to God.

Do not let the stresses of the day steal your Psalm.
