Rev. Anneel Abrraham, Field Supervisor
We had planned a two-day prayer retreat in Gujarat and Maharashtra, but due to the extreme heatwave conditions, we had to shorten it to just one day. In over thirty years, we have never experienced such intense heat in Pune.

Despite the challenges, we gathered together because it was truly important. There is so much happening around us — our people are being targeted, families are being threatened and pressured to abandon Christianity and return to their former faiths. It was essential for us to meet, encourage one another, and be strengthened through the Word of God.
We spent time holding hands, praying for one another, lifting up families, and crying out for the issues we face. In the midst of it all, we reminded each other of the triumphant victory of Jesus Christ over death, hell, and sin. Truly, Worthy is the Lamb who was slain! We belong to the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.

I shared a message from John 13:34–35 on the importance of unity — standing firm together, supporting one another, and clinging to the hope we have in Jesus Christ.
At the end of our time, we carried home a powerful reminder from Psalm 23: "The Lord is my Shepherd; I lack nothing." In our own language, these words sound even more beautiful and deeply encouraging.
Here are pictures of our gathering. Please continue to lift us up in your prayers, as we also pray for you.
