Psalms for the Soul

The Bible speaks to us but the Psalms speak for us. The Psalmist said, “ I waited patiently for the Lord to help me, and he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the pit of despair, and He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along. He has given me a new song to sing, a hymn of praise to our God.” Many will see what He has done and be amazed. Waiting means trusting that God knows what He is doing, even when He does not give us all the details. Perhaps you are looking for someone to share your life with who does not share your values, goals, and commitment to Christ, and you know that would not be God’s will. I know the plans the Lord has for me are good, so I am going to wait on God’s timing. Do not let the stresses of the day steal your Psalm.
